They’re Not Dead
June 19, 2012My books have recently been transformed with new revisions – now all told with a strictly Active Voice. Complete, I thought I’d apply the changes to my short stories. They’re easier to read then my original Pazuzu stories, but they are sub-par and won’t even be considered by professional publications. They’re not worth much, even upon eliminating the wretched Passive Voice once and for all, but it’s come to principle. I am trying hard. I hope readers see that. I hope I have readers…
Regardless, rewriting is what I’ve been doing and why I’ve been absent. The books are done. Now, to find a publisher. The short stories are in the process of regeneration. I’m combining all the shorts inside Horrid Tales of Wister Town and A Codex of Malevolence into one manuscript. I’ll split them again, but I want to edit them as one comprehensive whole. It’s working.
The stories won’t be available until I finish rewriting the complete manuscript. I hope that will be July 2012, but I won’t make a promise – small things like hunting income takes priority. In the meantime, you’re free to read the stories contained in Horrid Tales of Wister Town and A Codex of Malevolence. Once again, the current stories are in a Passive Voice. And because I’m rewriting them all, there will be changes. I only hope you’re not disappointed because the the next revision is SO good. It is weird, believable and scary stuff. I’m working so that it’s fast and easy to read. Seriously folks, I’m moving at aneurism-pace.

PS. At the beginning of Summer 2012, The grand, accumulated short story revision is 1/3 complete (approximately 35,000 words). Uninterrupted, I estimate I’ll finish before the Fourth of July!
All my books ans short stories have now been converted to Active Voice – all are available at Smashwords and Lulu (Amazon and Barnes & Noble may take a little while to catch up – and Google Books is always a little sketchy). I’d stick to Smashwords and Lulu (No DRM!)
