Trouble with the trilogy? No, far from it. The cover pages of my Pazuzu Trilogy books available from Createspace may look different, but they house the latest revision of the manuscripts. The books have reached their Eighth Revision and that is clearly displayed on the first page of both the printed copies and ebooks. Readers will notice the covers presented at Createspace don’t contain the word Trilogy.
(oh, I also put Pazuzu back into the purple desert on the Manifestation cover)
Createspace strictly discourages authors against changing book titles between the cover, book contents and store lists. Originally, I had not used the word Trilogy but then found a possibility to incorporate the text in the design. Other Print-On-Demand book publishers don’t enforce the consistency, but I respect those rules at Createspace that limit my amateur artistic expression.
The printed Pazuzu Trilogy books available from Createspace are 9″ x 6″ – they’re Trade Paperbacks. The advantage is they’re cheaper. With these books, readers don’t get the extra word so I guess that is where those savings go.
Collectors, themselves, might entertain my suggestion and write the word Trilogy on the cover. Use a black marker – it looks good, trust me. I left enough room behind Pazuzu so that brave calligraphers can practice and draw their own letters. Write over the dash. That way, your letters stay inline.
* The official Eighth Revision covers – -
The other retailers are less picky and let me use the covers I intended for the Eighth Revision. These are the official covers. The others are available only through Createspace.
